Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Sylectus Auto Bidder ("the Extension", "we", "us", "our") is a Google Chrome browser extension developed to assist freight dispatchers and logistics operators with automated bid email dispatch, mileage calculation, Deadhead (DH) estimation, and Rate Per Mile (RPM) evaluation on the Sylectus load board.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting user data. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how your privacy is protected.

2. Information We Access and Use

The Extension functions as a local, client-side utility inside your Google Chrome browser. We collect and process only the minimal data strictly necessary for the Extension's core features:

a. Sylectus Load Information

When browsing the Sylectus load board (sylectus.com), the Extension reads publicly displayed load details within your active browser tab (including origin city/state, destination city/state, loaded miles, vehicle type, and broker contact email/notes). This information is processed exclusively in-memory on your device to compute road mileage and prepare your bid email.

b. User Preferences and Settings

Your custom settings (such as MC number, equipment type, email signature, and language preference) are saved locally within your browser using Chrome's secure storage API (chrome.storage.sync). This data remains on your device and synchronized across your own Chrome instances via your Google account. It is never transmitted to our servers.

c. Google User Data and Gmail API Access

To send bid emails directly from your Gmail account, the Extension requests the following Google OAuth scope:

How Gmail API Data Is Used:

• The permission is used solely to construct and send bid offer emails to freight brokers when you explicitly click the "Send" button for a selected load.
• The Extension DOES NOT read, view, or process your incoming emails, existing inbox messages, or email history.
• The Extension DOES NOT access your personal contacts, email drafts, or account profile details.
• Your Google OAuth access tokens are handled securely through Chrome's native identity system (chrome.identity) and are never stored on, forwarded to, or accessible by any external server.
• We DO NOT sell, rent, monetize, or share any Google user data with third parties, data brokers, or advertising platforms.

3. Google API Limited Use Disclosure

Sylectus Auto Bidder's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Storage and Retention

All configuration settings are stored locally on your machine. We do not maintain any external databases or remote servers that collect, log, or track your bids, email activity, or personal information.

5. User Control and Data Revocation

You maintain complete control over your account and permissions:

• You may disconnect your Gmail account at any time directly through the Extension's settings popup.
• You can revoke the Extension's access to your Google Account at any time via Google Account Security Settings.
• You can uninstall the Extension at any time via chrome://extensions/, which immediately deletes all locally stored preferences.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
